45 Seconds Into Twilight!

I recently brought my Junior Commercial Free Flight plane to the flying field for some test flights after recovering the fuselage with new tissue.

For these flights, I was using two 24″ long loops of 1/8″ wide rubber for the motor. For each successive flight, I progressed from 800 winds of the motor to 900 winds, then to 1,000 winds, then to 1,100 winds for my final flight.

The air was warm and heavy with humidity with no wind so the flights were of short duration. But despite only being 45 seconds long, my last flight was epic as it occurred as the sun was setting. Here is a recording of that flight…
