It has now been 1 full year since I started working on the build of my HO model train layout! And so it is once again time to feature another layout update. My last update focused on the building of structures and adding much needed overhead lighting to the layout. Over the course of the three Fall months since the last update, I’ve spent time building an additional craftsman structure kit in addition to building a plastic model airplane to fly over the trains! But the biggest upgrade was the installation of a Digital Command Control (DCC) system to operate the layout. The addition of DCC has been truly transformational to the operation of the layout. This post updates the past three months worth of layout progress.
It has been a fun first year workin’ on the railroad and I’m very pleased with the progress that I’ve made. I’m looking forward to the next year! But, first I’m going to take a little break from the trains and go back to the planes. I have a couple model builds that have been calling out to me and they are getting very loud!!
As with my last layout updates, I am hoping that the following video presents a fair understanding of what I’ve developed to this point. Enjoy the video!
