Home As a Pilot Sees The World

As a Pilot Sees The World. or...a Bird's Eye View.

While this post may seem a bit out of the norm compared to the usual subject matter featured here on FlyBoyz, these stunning aerial photos were just too awesome not to be shared. This collection of aerial photographs gives us a pilot’s (or bird’s!) eye view of places from around the world, casting them in a totally new light.

Most of the pictures are of places or things that most of us could easily identify right away. The images illustrate just how much a change in perspective can alter. It’s also worth noting that a few of these sites, like the Pyramids of Giza and the hotels in Dubai, were designed with an aerial perspective in mind. The designs of certain Dubai hotels can only be appreciated fully from above, and some theorize that the Pyramids of Giza were meant to be aligned with the stars in Orion’s Belt.

Most of these photographs were taken from hot-air balloons, helicopters, gliders, or very tall structures. No matter how they were taken, I hope you enjoy the perspective that only a pilot (or a bird!) could otherwise enjoy.

The photos are displayed in both a ‘Gallery’ format (above) for quickly scanning thru them and also in a captioned ‘Light box’ format (below) which allows for zooming in on individual pictures by clicking on them.
