The aerial vantage point that quadcopters enables for videography has allowed the world to see scenes that were rarely, if ever, glimpsed by humans before. And because of that, I continue to be awed by and thankful for that use of aviation technology. And it keeps me on the lookout for great new videos that highlight the capabilities of this technology coupled with great subject matter for filming. And I have found another one!
This video is aerial footage from the Serengeti taken with a remote-control “BeetleCopter”. The video producer states that ‘Drones have incredible potential in wildlife filmmaking; they are quieter and more manoeuvrable than a traditional helicopter so they can get close to animals with minimal disturbance. This video is just a taster of what is possible.‘ Well, personally, I think it is a great taster.
