Last month, I featured a cool rocket glider & free flight video from the Flite Test website. In that video, they made a brief reference to F1D free flight. Flite Test has just released a follow-on video devoted entirely to F1D free flight…and it is very cool! Given the subject matter, I have taken the liberty to again feature a Flite Test video here on FlyBoyz.
The F1D free flight planes featured in this video are both intriguing and amazing in their delicate structure and long, slow flight characteristics. They are also beyond my model building capabilities. Given their extremely delicate nature, I know that my shaky hands (Essential Tremors) would do nothing more than pulverize any attempts on my part to construct one! So, I will be content to just watch them and marvel at them.
This video also features a brief description of Penny free flight planes which I also find to be intriguing. Enjoy the video!
