It has now been 6 months since FlyBoyz first went live back on November 9, 2013 and it’s been a great 6 months! I’d like to take this opportunity to share some of the growth that FlyBoyz has seen in its first 6 months.
Since FlyBoyz went live, more than 6,900 site visits have been recorded, or about 1,150 per month. That number is growing every month with April recording 2,173 visits.
Unique visitors have averaged over 658 per month with April seeing 952! Unique visitor is a term used to refer to a person who visits the site at least once within the month. Each visitor to the site is only counted once during the month, so if the same IP address accesses the site many times, it still only counts as one visitor. Visits from spiders, crawlers and other bots are filtered out and not counted. So what does that mean? It means that a lot of great folks have discovered and are visiting FlyBoyz!

And what are these visitors doing once they go to FlyBoyz? They are viewing a lot of pages of great aviation related material! In the month of April alone, visitors have looked at a total of 11,149 pages of information within the website which is up from the monthly average of 8,169 page views!
Also in the past 6 months, FlyBoyz has grown from a combined 8 subscriber and registered members to 35, a growth rate of over 437%! FlyBoyz Subscribers are informed by email each time a new post (such as this one) is added to the site and they can connect directly in to the post from the email. Registered Members receive the same email notification plus have the ability to add comments to posts. Both member options are a great way to keep up to date on what’s new with FlyBoyz so consider adding yourself to the growing membership list (both are free!)!
The past 6 months have been a blast for me as I continue to rediscover my aviation roots. I have met (and re-met!) a bunch of great aviation folks, participated in some great aviation related events, and have experienced many enjoyable (and sometimes frustrating!) hours of model building. And all the while, I’ve had a really great time sharing all those experiences with you via this aviation blog! I have also received countless words of support and encouragement for my efforts as well as many words of praise for FlyBoyz itself. I thank all of you for all of that. I hope (and expect) the next 6 months will be even better!
