Steve Dwyer brought his Pathfinder Twin to fly at the STARS control line field today and asked me to film the flights so that he could see it fly afterwards. The first flight resulted in the inboard engine cutting out after a few laps. That flight is documented in the first video below. A second attempt was then made during which both engines performed as hoped. That flight is documented below in the second video.
The Pathfinder Twin was flying with OS FP .25 glow engines turning 9/4 props. After saying he would not do ‘anything crazy’ during the flights, Steve decided to attempt flying portions of the Control Line pattern after determining that both engines were indeed working during the second flight.
