Blog Changes to Flight Events and Event Reports

One of the things that I wanted to be able to do through FlyBoyz was to provide information about upcoming aviation related flight events and then post event reports about those events that I was able to attend.

However, as I got back into aviation, I kept discovering more and more events and it soon became very apparent that there would be no way that I would be able to post information about all the events that I was becoming aware of. I found it unfortunate that I was not be able to share information about and promote a lot of really great aviation related events.

But just recently, I became aware of a potential solution to this dilemma…RC FlightDeck, which is a comprehensive Radio Control, Control Line and Free Flight event promotion, management, registration and search website. I have vetted this website and I am impressed. It does a much better job providing aviation event information than I ever could so I have decided to offer it as a featured link on FlyBoyz.

Information about and a link to RC FlightDeck can be found by clicking on ‘Aviation Events’ under the ‘Pilot Briefing’ menu. I have added a link to RC FlightDeck in the listing of ‘Aviation Websites’ that is found in the right-hand sidebar of the blog. And I have also added an ‘Aviation Events’ widget to bottom of the right-hand sidebar of the blog. This widget provides a mini-version of RC FlightDeck with upcoming events that you can scroll through.

I will continue to post Event Reports for those aviation related events that I attend. They can be found by clicking on ‘Event Reports’ under the ‘Pilot Briefing’ menu.

I am pleased that I will be able to achieve my goal of providing timely and helpful event information and that by doing so I will be able to help promote aviation. I hope everyone enjoys this expanded event listing capability now being offered through FlyBoyz.
